The Drop-Off Never Dissapoints

An afternoon dive at the Drop-Off in Tulamben Bay, reminded to us that the dive sites in our own backyard are World-Class. First we came across a huge Bump Head Parrot Fish (left) feeding on hard corals, it seemed to not even notice that we were around, casually munching on the reef.
Then only a few meters further along the wall we find a large  nudibranch that we have only seen once before (right)

Later on the same dive, we saw for the first time a juvenile Clown Trigger Fish (left), a rare sight for us. This incredibly coloured fish is normally seen in its adult colouration.
Finally we got to our destination, a large seafan where a Denise Pygmy Seahorse (right) has been living with it's mate for the last month.

Photos from my Olympus PEN camera

I get lots of questions from people on what camera set-up I use underwater. They think I should be using the top of the range Nikon, Canon or Hasselblad ..... But I don't! Actually I enjoy using a small, lightweight camera that has just enough features and quality for me to record high quality images of the underwater world.
I stopped using my dSLR monster in May 2012 and have been taking photos since then with an Olympus PEN Micro Four Thirds camera (model: EPL2) in an Olympus PT-EP03 housing with Leica & Olympus Lenses. I use Zen dome & macro flat ports (glass). Inon Strobes and Locline arms. (And I don't get anything for free from Olympus, I just like their camera's!!)  Check out some of my latest photos at my Flickriver Gallery.
