The popularity of our Live-Aboard Underwater Photography Trips in Indonesia has been almost unbelieveable! All of our trips for 2011 have sold-out within days of release. For 2012 we ask that you contact us if you would like to be on our early release list to be updated on trips the minute they are released. January 28th 2011
Everyone is talking "Strobe Snoots", so I set-out to make a set for my Inon Strobes from PVC pipe fittings and try them. Great fun and some nice effects. Here's a different view of a Leaf Scorpion Fish utilising one strobe with a snoot backlighting the fish (more pics at our photo galleries page). November 25th 2010 After our busiest year ever, we are now winding-up our 2010 stint in Indonesia and simply enjoying the local diving around Tulamben. Lots of critters have moved into the shallows with the flat sea conditions. Including Saron Shrimps in 3 metres of water and on last night's dive a beautiful squid posed for me! September 15th 2010
A Hairy Frogfish!! and found at the most unlikely location, this one and 12 other frogfish on just ONE night dive on a sand slope near Tulamben. Struggling for a name for this new dive-site and then we decided "Kota Kodok" seemed to best describe it .... ("Frog City" in English). July 22nd 2010
Today we found a colony of Donut Nudibranchs on one of the sandy slopes in Tulamben. These nudibranchs are aptly named, as they look like they have a line of donuts on their back! They live on hydroids, this one was busy laying eggs, while others nearby were mating. May 27th 2010
Another NEW muck diving location. Our friends shared their new discovery with us. This site is east of Tulamben and lays at the mouth of a small river. On one dive we saw frogfish, seahorse, pipefish, pegasus sea moths and a beautiful juvenile batfish. We are calling the site 'Hidden River', as we've driven past it a hundred times and not even seen it! May 10th 2010
Photo Galleries and a Video have now been added to our Website. Check out the Bali & Komodo Photo Galleries, plus a short Video from Komodo. |
