North Sulawesi Trip - Testimonial
Chris Cunnold & Wendy Hutchison As we have been on previous live-aboard photo trips to Komodo with Jeff & Dawn Mullins' we are now regarded as "Repeat Offenders". Their North Sulawesi Adventure in October 2011 was another superbly organised and incredibly enjoyable trip that had everything to gleefully occupy underwater photography enthusiasts like ourselves. We snapped hundreds of images of colourful nudibranchs and crazy fishy creatures during totally engrossing muck diving on the volcanic sands of the Lembeh Strait, and hundreds more of the abundant fish life, beautiful coral reefs and walls around Bangka Island and Bunaken Marine Park. Heaven! Our dive guides were magicians who found all manner of subjects for us to photograph and while we were occupied on a subject they'd be off finding something else for us and all the while ensuring we were safe and enjoying our dive. It is hard to grow tired of macro photography but the scenery around Banka Island and in Bunaken Marine Park (and the great viz.) tempted us to some wide-angle photography. When my buddy wasn't available to model it seems Dawn was nearby at the right time to hang like an angel, motionless in just the right place to allow a great shot. Along with having a great bunch of people on board, it was Jeff and Dawn's attention to the finer details in the organisation and running of the trip, their knowledge and experience of diving in the region and their generosity (and patience) when providing photography guidance both underwater and at the computer that made this trip brilliant. Thank you Jeff and Dawn for another sensational trip! Chris Cunnold - Australia Canon 7D, Nauticam Housing, Inon Z240 Strobes.
