North Sulawesi Trip - Testimonial
Why take a trip with Jeff and Dawn Mullins? It’s bliss. They organise everything – including luggage check-ins (cleverly avoiding excess fees wherever possible – but don’t take that as a hint to go stupid!!), they speak the local lingo which is extremely beneficial, and you just cruise through any connecting airports! BONUS!
You don’t have to think as they send an email advising what to pay and when, what to bring and, thankfully, what NOT to bring, and how things will work on your trusty vessel well ahead of time. Then you get to the real stuff, the diving and your trusty vessel.
I’ve been diving for a bit over 20 years, and this is total relaxation. I met Jeff and Dawn very many years ago, but only became good friends after my first live-aboard trip with them to Alor in late 2010. At the time I was severely in need of a new right hip, with the added bonus of avascular necrosis. No fun, walking stick. No problem on the boat – a crew who helped even the able-bodied divers everywhere, and the trip was magnificent. MANDARIN FISH!!!! :-)
Jeff has so much experience on (and under) the water that he can spot a good dive site – avoiding currents – at several hundred metres! He’d say “that looks good” and we’d drop in for a great dive.
Fast forward to November 2011 and bionic girl (new hip) is unstoppable. Another sensational trip, to North Sulawesi and Lembeh Strait, with TOP dive spots, excellent critter spotting, along with more exceptional training in your own equipment by Mullins the Magnificent who knows all, about all camera models and types!! (he should get out more.... ;) ) And just when you thought you could have a nanny nap, there’s Lightroom training at night for all who want it. Even on your own photos!!! And no shrinking violet is our understated Mrs Dawn, great videographer in her own right (providing HE doesn’t steal the videocam!), exceptional model for THAT pic, great critter spotter as well, and amazing organiser on your trusty vessel, ensuring everyone is looked after to the MAX! Admin guru, amazing hostess, one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. They are both so genuine, helpful and unflappable, I am honoured to now be called a friend.
Hang on a minute...DON’T TAKE A TRIP WITH THEM – they only take small numbers so it is really personalised, you get fantastic service, their wonderful company and great instruction on amazing subjects – NOOOOOO, DON’T GO WITH THEM, I MIGHT NOT GET ON THE NEXT TRIP!!!! :-)
